Tips & Advice
Crash Advice for Motorists - some insurance companies direct you towards their chosen repairers. This may imply that you have no choice about where your vehicle is repaired. But you do - you are free to use whichever garage/repairer you wish, with all reasonable costs of repair being met by the insurer.
Do a bit of research and find out which repairers have trade associations or memberships. Using more professional repairers ensures that your vehicle will be repaired to a high standard.
Remember to report any motoring incidents to your insurance company as soon as possible. Note details such as the date and time, the exact place,weather/road conditions, etc. and any third parties involved.
Always check that your MOT and vehicle road tax is up to date. If not it will invalidate your insurance and you will not be able to claim for the cost of any repairs.
